Dawn of Day

Hear a cricket chirp
The coffee pot on
A single perk

The sun's a risin’
Off to the east
A foggy horizon

A deer out back
Exploring around 

 an early snack

A squirrel darts up a tree
To get a better view 

 to show off for me


Morning's coming to an end
See the rays
Peer around the bend

A vibrant start
To a day that is
Morning to part.
